Ich bin ein Berliner or so for a few days

it's a go. i'm off to berlin on the 10th of october.

my entry managed to cling to the last six places of the international photo competition. i'll talk about this once i get more information. meanwhile, if you visit my website, please click the Alzheimer's Disease Association website link i placed there and spend a bit of time reading their articles on dementia.

better yet, if you are in singapore, you might want to contribute a bit of your time to volunteer efforts. currently the disease affects 28 million people worldwide. in 2040, it is expected to rise to 81 million worldwide.

if you think Dementia has nothing to do with you, keep in mind that 2040 is 34 years from now. while alzheimer's disease is not automatically caused by aging (as commonly believed), the elderly are more susceptible to the disease. and whether you like it or not, we are all going to be a bit older by 2040.
