I'm currently converting my website to a flash for easier upload on my side so I'll be posting photos here for now. As I mentioned earlier, I did an impromptu street studio portraits of kids when I was in Hong Kong when I saw a black canvas along a market stall. Here's a sample of the effort. No big umbrella and softbox here, just ambient with a little help from my camera flash for the catchlight. It was an in and out portrait shoot, two shots each.

It's a feat I need to master soon enough once the National Park Board here in Singapore give me the go signal to erect my outdoor studio. I managed to get me a nice portable power supply (a pure sine wave inverter) today for my Elinchrom studio flashes and everything is packed and ready. Alas, I just need the permit signed.

In fairness to NPark, they have never come across a project like this yet they are very supportive in securing me a place to use right in the heart of Orchard Road. The Philippine consul in Singapore already gave me a call regarding my project. I hope, everything goes well and I'll be shooting soon.

Incidentally, a few days after I came back to Singapore, I got a call from a Hong Kong model who stumbled on my website and liked what she saw. Now she's here in town and she wants me to do some work with her. It feels strange that I must have been in Hong Kong shooting pictures for my website at the same moment when she was surfing my website.

Internet moves in a mysterious way. Click.
